Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information ByteCrux collects through https://bytecrux-website.vercel.app, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Information we collect

We only collect information you actively give us. That means the contents of the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, the service you are interested in, an indicative budget, and your project description.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. If analytics are enabled on this site they are configured to be privacy-preserving and do not set cookies or collect personally identifying information.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project.
• To prepare a proposal, scope document or estimate at your request.
• To keep a record of the enquiry for our own business administration.

We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties for their own purposes.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we process contact-form data on the basis of legitimate interest — responding to a business enquiry you initiated — and, where applicable, in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Service providers

We use a small number of third parties to run this site and our business, including a hosting provider, a transactional email provider to deliver form submissions to our inbox, and standard business email and file storage. These providers process data on our instructions only.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Where an enquiry becomes a client engagement, we retain records for the period required by applicable tax and contract law.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@bytecrux.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
