UI/UX design

Interfaces designed to be built, not just admired.Research, wireframes, high-fidelity design and production-ready design systems — handed over in a state engineers can implement without guesswork.

A great deal of design work looks beautiful in a portfolio and falls apart the moment engineering opens it. Spacing is arbitrary, states are missing, the empty screen was never drawn, and nobody checked whether the grey-on-grey text is legible.

Because ByteCrux also writes the code, we design differently. Every screen ships with its loading, empty, error and success states. Every colour pair is checked against WCAG contrast requirements. Spacing and type come from a token scale that maps directly onto the front-end implementation.

We start with the problem rather than the pixels: who is using this, what are they trying to finish, and where do they currently give up. Then we prototype, test with real users where the budget allows, and only afterwards make it beautiful.

What you get

  • Designs that pass WCAG 2.2 AA before they reach engineering
  • A token scale shared by Figma and the codebase
  • Every state drawn, so nothing gets invented mid-sprint
  • Prototypes tested with users, not just approved internally

Capabilities

UI/UX design we deliver

The concrete pieces of work an engagement is made of.

Product discovery & user research

Stakeholder interviews, user flows, competitive teardown and a written problem definition everyone agrees on before design begins.

Wireframes & prototypes

Low-fidelity structure first, then clickable Figma prototypes you can put in front of real users well before a line of code is written.

Visual & interface design

High-fidelity screens for every breakpoint, covering the loading, empty, error and success states that usually get skipped.

Design systems

Tokenised colour, type and spacing scales with a documented component library, so the tenth screen stays as consistent as the first.

Accessibility audits

WCAG 2.2 AA review covering contrast, focus order, keyboard navigation, semantics and screen-reader behaviour, with a prioritised fix list.

Brand & identity

Logo, typography and visual language work for teams that need the product and the brand to look like they came from the same place.

FAQ

UI/UX design — common questions

Straight answers on timelines, cost and ownership.

Do you offer design without development?

Yes. Plenty of clients bring their own engineering team and need design only. Our handover is built for that scenario: tokens, specs, documented components and a call with your developers to walk through the system.

How long does a UI/UX project take?

A focused product design sprint runs 3 to 4 weeks. A full design system for a multi-module platform typically takes 6 to 10 weeks depending on how many surfaces need covering.

Can you redesign our existing product?

We do this often. Redesigns begin with an audit and, where possible, a look at your analytics and support tickets — the places users get stuck are usually already visible in your own data.

Do you design for accessibility?

Accessibility is part of the standard process, not an upsell. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA by default, which covers contrast ratios, focus states, target sizes, keyboard paths and semantic structure.
